Lemon and Nilgiri/eucalyptus oil treatment for swine flu
This may be a business gimmick by bullshit business people who never dared to make money from people illiteracy and poverty.
So kindly dont spread the rumours about Lemon and nilgiri oil in net and don't forward the sms containing such bullshit information
Symptoms of Swine flu/H1N1 virus
Swine Flu Symptoms
According to the CDC, like seasonal flu, symptoms of swine flu infections can include:
- fever, which is usually high, but unlike seasonal flu, is sometimes absent
- cough
- runny nose or stuffy nose
- sore throat
- body aches
- headache
- chills
- fatigue or tiredness, which can be extreme
- diarrhea and vomiting, sometimes, but more commonly seen than with seasonal flu
Signs of a more serious swine flu infection might include pneumonia and respiratory failure.
If your child has symptoms of swine flu, you should avoid other people and call your pediatrician who might do a rapid flu test to see if he has an influenza A infection. Further testing can then be done to see if it is a swine flu infection. (Samples can be sent to local and state health departments and the CDC for confirmation of swine flu, especially if a child is in the hospital.)

Indian SWINE flu | H1N1 Flu in India
"We are not bothered about what is happening abroad. Our government has a plan to have indigenous vaccine by the end of this year and we will be among the first few countries to have such a vaccine to tackle the H1N1 virus," said V.M. Katoch, secretary in the department of health research.
"India started working on a vaccine from April soon after the pandemic broke out abroad. At least three companies are working on the vaccine. One company has made real progress and we believe by November, we will have something in hand," he added.
Katoch said the vaccine will be available in the market in an injectable format by the year-end.
Over the last couple of months, India has reported over 700 cases of swine flu, with Delhi and Maharashtra being the worst hit. Both the states have reported over 50 percent of the total cases in the country.
"The WHO has made available four strains and the drug controller (of India) has approved them all. Based on this, the vaccine is being developed at three places across the country.
"Three pharma companies - Serum Institute of India (Pune), Bharat Biotech (Hyderabad) and Panacea Biotech (New Delhi) - are working on developing the vaccine. The Pune company has made some real progress," he said.
While the Serum Institute is developing an "egg-based" vaccine, the other two are developing "cell line vaccines". "But all of them will be available as injections," Katoch added.
When asked about human trials, he said the health ministry has already notified health centres about this and all interested parties were welcome.
"After the animal trials at the above three companies, the vaccine will go for human trials. May be by November we will do some human trials."
"Before allowing any one we will verify his clinical trial credentials, past history and efficiency. There is a modern guideline for this and clinical trial centres have to follow the official protocol," said the secretary.
He also said human trials will be conducted in multiple centres. "Some may be outside India too."
Katoch, a leading health scientist, said interested parties need to give a brief description of interest, experience, expertise and infrastructure available for conducting Phase-I and or Phase II multi-centre clinical trials.
He said India is ready for "fast track approval" of the vaccine as it generally takes a lot of time to develop a medicine or vaccine. He also clarified that quality shall not be compromised and all "safety measures" shall be taken care of.
The country has reported four H1N1 deaths so far. As on July 31, the World Health Organization has reported 162,380 laboratory confirmed cases of influenza A (H1N1) and 1,154 deaths in over 150 countries.

2009 TNEA engineering seat vacancy
But this may be right time to invest in biotechnology than in previous years as biotech industry in india is expected to create more jobs in next 4-5 years as government realized that without making a ground on biotech our future is highly vulnerable and started promoting micro, small, medium and large kinds of biotech industry by providing money through MSME, BCIL,
If this plan works at least to fifty percent then biotechnologist may find jobs easily in the market... till then its a goldmine only for Ph.D candidates.
And mechanical engineering follows the EC as students choice.
Computer science and engineering looks little sluggish but expected to gear up as the counseling proceeds.
Best Wishes

Integrated Ph.D in Biotechnology
VIT UNIVERSITY
VIT offers exciting opportunities to motivate outstanding Bachelor’s degree holders with a keen sense of scientific enquiry for pursuing advanced research in frontier areas of Engineering disciplines (Bio-Medical, Biotechnology, Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics) leading to the Ph D degree and then join as faculty of the University.
The integrated Ph D program consists of a flexible course work, an internship-type laboratory training (wherein ample opportunities exist for the candidate to acquire basic experimental skills and familiarity with advanced techniques for research), research project to demonstrate attainment of a high degree of scientific ability followed by advanced research leading to Ph D thesis on a specific topic.
World over experience has shown that students entering the integrated program save on an average of one year compared to those who go for a 2 years Master's degree programs elsewhere and then join the Institute for Ph D program. Exceptionally talented graduates with good academic background may complete the PhD program in 4 years.
Candidates who for unforeseen reasons wish to discontinue after two years, will be given an opportunity to earn a M.S. (by Research) degree subject to satisfactory completion of course work and appropriate dissertation.
Eligibility
Students with outstanding academic record in the Bachelor’s degree in Bio-Medical, Biotechnology, Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science, and Electrical & Electronics with an aptitude towards advanced scientific and technological research are eligible to apply. A minimum of 80% marks or a CGPA of 8.0 is the primary prerequisite. Candidates who are appearing for the final examination this year can also apply.
Selection
The selection procedure will involve a written test and personal interview at VIT University, Vellore. After initial screening of applicants, the selection will be based on a written test followed by a personal interview to assess the technical skills, research and analytical aptitude and communication skills of the candidates.
Research Associateship and Tuition Subsidy
Selected students will receive a monthly associateship of Rs.7000/-. The amount will be enhanced to Rs.12000/- after two years, subject to satisfactory performance. The associateship will be paid for four years. In addition, the candidates are eligible for 80% subsidy on tuition fees and are therefore required to sign a contract to serve VIT University as faculty for a minimum tenure.
Assured Placement
