Eligibility for B.TECH/M.TECH/Ph.D Food process engineering at IICPT

Eligibility criteria for B.TECH Food processing Engineering (25 seats)

Pass +2 or equivalent examination with major (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with 50% marks Engineering)
Mode of Selection
· Candidate selection will be done based on aggregate marks
Aggregate Marks are calculated for 200 marks
· 50% for Physics and Chemistry
· 50% for Maths
· Aggregate for OC – 110, OBC – 100, SC/ST – Mere pass is sufficient
Allocation of seats
· 50% of the seats are reserved for students from Tamil Nadu and rest 50% for students on All India Basis and 5 seats for NRI (Over and Above the 25 seats)
· 2 s e a t s f o r Vo c a t i o n a l g r o u p s t u d e n t s with specialization in P ost harvest Technology
Reservation policy:
OBC -27%, SC -15%, ST-7.5%

Eligibility criteria for M.TECH Food processing Engineering (10 seats)
Should have passed a four Year B.E.,/B.Tech Degree with 60% marks in any of the following discipline Food Process Engineering, Agricultural Process Engineering, Post Harvest Technology, Food Science & Technology, Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering.

Eligibility criteria for Ph.D Food processing Engineering (10 seats)
Should have passed M.E.,/M.Tech Degree with 60% marks in any of the following discipline Food Process Engineering, Agricultural Process Engineering, Post Harvest Technology, Food Science & Technology, Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering.

NRI Quota (over and above)
B .Tech, - 5, M.Tech. – 2, Ph.D . – 2
