ReplyDeletehi kavitha its difficult for you to get seat in those colleges. There is inter caste quota in SC, that is SC arunthatiyar. So your chances are reduced if you just belong to SC. but don't loose hope. Anything can happen in counseling

If your overall rank is around 1500, and community rank around BC-600 / MBC-600, you have high chances of getting into ANNA UNIV CHENNAI regular program. In practice approximately 1500-2000 students will be called for counseling on first two days.
And for seats in ANNA UNIVERSITY CHENNAI, seats under open category(OC/FC),Backward category(BC,BCM,BCC, Most backward category will be filled around second day morn session.
So you can guess whether you will get into ANNA UNIV CHENNAI with this simple calculation.

Hi guys the mark scenario i posted are based on last year counseling scenario.
ReplyDeleteEvery year d scenario changes.
Last year it was very huge competition and for the first time nearly 100% PG seats are filled up. This year the rush to PG is a bit less than last year.
So my advice for you is to contact your immediate seniors who joined in PG courses.

Last year, due to IT meltdown, many IT students opted for PG courses in IT related subjects.
But this year the scenario is changing.We expect lesser competition this year. So its a 50-50 % chance for you.

For PG courses in ANNA UNIVERISTY, EST department only has high percentage og placements, both in core & IT field.
two or three core companies will come for placement.
Since you already have 3 years experience in ETP, you will have an edge in the placements..!

Find the total no of seats including all the departments under anna university.
It will be around 1500.
So, it is evident that if your overall rank is around 1500, defenitely you have an edge in getting ANNA UNIV,Chennai.

ReplyDeletehi bhuvaneswari! since you opt for teaching profession after your pg studies, its better to continue PG studies in the college where you completed your UG studies. Most of the colleges are taking their own students for teaching. And your entry level position is associate professor.
ReplyDeleteAnd for your marks and OC category you may will get seat in top colleges, but Gov colleges are doubtful.
But to become a professor, it doesn't a matter.
